In the third stage, in April 2017, the driest desert on the planet was investigated. Located in northern Chile, the Atacama sits at roughly the same average latitude as the city of São Paulo and practically the entire southeast region of Brazil.
At this same latitude, in the middle of the Tropic of Capricorn, lie other great deserts of the southern hemisphere, such as Central Australia in Oceania and the Kalahari, which includes part of Namibia, Botswana, South Africa and Angola in Africa.
The documentary presents reflections on gradual deforestation and the unknown, controversial and almost silent process of desertification in south-central South America.
