Who is behind it

More than 24 years of field research.

Co-author of 18 travel guides about cities and regions of Brazil and around the world.
Over the past 24 years, Gazola has conducted field research in more than 1,200 municipalities across every Brazilian state and in around 40 countries.

He provided journalistic coverage of several United Nations climate conferences.

All Stages

Colombia and Venezuela • 52 min
The expedition explores the contrasts of a just energy transition in two countries marked by dependence on non-renewable natural resources.
Mexico, Guatemala and El Salvador • 41 min
It explores the interaction between hurricanes and volcanoes and how they carry essential moisture, similar to the function of the Amazon.
Bahia (Brazil) • 10 min
The hypothesis of how moisture from the Amazon influenced the rains on the Bahian coast at the time of the arrival of the Portuguese.
Thailand • 12 min
The expedition reveals the search for clues correlating the discovery of new viruses with the accelerated ice melt on the Tibetan plateau.
Mato Grosso and Pará (Brazil) • 20 min
A journey along the controversial BR-163 highway in the agricultural frontier region, where the so-called “Day of Fire” was allegedly arranged.
Paraguay and Argentina • 14 min
The climatic collision that makes the region the epicenter of the most severe storms on the planet: the flows of the Amazon against Antarctica.
Bolivia • 16 min
A journey through Amboró National Park and the southernmost Amazonian springs of the continent, marked by drastic variations in altitude.
Bolivia • 15 min
In the Amazonian region of Beni, we found hundreds of ancient artificial lagoons and the roots of the formation of the great rivers of the continent.
Chile • 9 min
A reflection on the most arid desert on the planet to draw a parallel with the dangerous and silent desertification process of Brazil.
Uruguay and Argentina • 15 min
In the far south, we researched the second-largest freshwater outlet of the continent, a point that receives practically all the Amazonian moisture.
Acre (Brazil) and Peru • 16 min
Based on the report “The Future Climate of the Amazon”, this stage, which gave rise to the project, travels through the region where Amazonian moisture primarily meets the Andes, shifting its trajectory toward south-central South America.
